Under the Sea

Design Team member Tracey, has created an underwater scene journal page with a removable tag which features my Zendoodle Seahorse stamp.
I think you'll agree that it's a really super piece of art!

Tracey has used a wide range of materials, including my "Zendoodle Seahorse" stamp set ( PICSA6411), to create the piece.....you can find more  details on her blog Hotchpotch Creations.

A closer look at the Seahorse tag...love all the dangly beads!

Thanks for sharing this Tracey and I'm sure it will inspire lots of sea themed projects!

Delbert...or is it?

I just love this card that Design Team member MIllie has created for her grandson. She has very cleverly made it very personal and extra special by using a photograph of her grandson along with the digital image of Delbert!

Here is Millie's own description of what she did.....

"I've made a card for my grandson using Lindsay Mason's digi image 'Delbert'. Love her characters. I have enlarged him just under 50% and coloured him with distress inks (as watercolours). Obviously poor Delbert has lost his original identity as I've replaced his face with that of my grandson and added my own drawn embellishments to suit the image."

..........a totally unique card and one which I'm sure will go down a treat!

....a closer look at Millie's colouring and the extra images that she drew herself...love the headband!

You can find "Delbert" along with his friends (!) HERE

Thanks for stopping by and thank you to Millie for another great project.

Cats and homes!

Well, the DT members have been busy! So this morning there are three lovely projects to share with you.

Millie has created two versions of a great wall hanging idea...perfect for giving as a gift for someone moving house for instance. The first one has been made using my digital download "Quirky Buildings" which is an A4 sheet comprising six different images.

Millie has coloured the images using Faber Castell pencil crayons. I love the clean look of this project.

Millie's second version features the houses that are on my stamp set "Zendoodle RTG Houses" (SDCSA6049) which comes under the Sweet Dixie range from Personal Impressions. RTG stands for Ready to Go, as the images are also available as a  plain set that you can zentangle yourself. The stamps are available from stores that stock PI products.

DT member Sallyann has created a really fun card using a cat from my "Feline Fun" digital download which is another of the full A4 sheets and features six very different cats. Sallyann has also used flowers from my stamp set "Zendoodle Flowers" (SDCSA6048) from the Sweet Dixie range from Personal Impressions. The quote is from my A6 set "Quips" (CICSA6213) which features five slightly quirky quotes!

Sallyann has used Brushos to create the background and some great layering sets everything off nicely along with a few accents such as the fish bone!

I hope you agree, three really super projects from two of the Design Team.Watch this space for more to come!

Millie's Journal page....

This journal page created by DT member Millie really brightened an otherwise gloomy and wet afternoon!

Millie has combined three of my digital downloads...."Fungi Fun", "Feline Fun" and "Jilly" to create a really fun and whimsical double page spread. Here are a couple of close ups...

I like the way Millie has edged the words with the same colours she's used on the toadstools which ties everything together.

The colouring on "Jilly" also picks up the shades of ochre and red and there is some lovely shadowing to indicate the soft folds of her dress.

Thanks for sharing this project Millie!

The designs Millie used can be purchased HERE and, once downloaded, can be printed out as many times as you wish as well as being resized of course.

Two new designs

I added two new designs to my digital image range last evening. Another owl, as they are so popular, and a whimsical Angel..

Here is the rather grumpy looking
"Oswald" - grumpy but cute!
And this is "Little Angel" who I have left reasonably plain for those who love to doodle designs and add lots of decorative elements and colour.
Both images are available as downloads that you can then print out as many times as you wish, resize as you like and use in your projects. Oswald costs £2.40 and Little Angel is £2.16. You can find them, and the rest of my digital designs HERE

More owls!

It's a night for owls! After posting Millie's detailed zentangling of Wallace the owl, DT member Sallyann has now shared a fabulous card made using my "Hoot Family" digi download.

I think the colours are just lovely and so beautifully blended. Sallyann's completed the card with die cut and gilded flowers which really add dimension and depth. Oh,and one of my quote stamps too!

Here is the digital download that Sallyann used....
.....available HERE

Thanks for sharing Sallyann!

Millie took these on holiday!

A late evening post as Millie has shared some of what she's been up to on holiday....colouring and zentangling some of my digital images!

Here's what Millie says..... "I have taken a stash of Lindsay Mason's digi images on holiday! So convenient to put in my craft tote to play with and experiment with. Wallace is a fab image...I have Zentangled him using Micron pens 02 & 05 and a grey pencil crayon. I will probably use him in a shadow box project when I get back (watch this space).
The cat image is from Feline Fun ( 6 different cats). I have used the tail from a different cat and added it to my little ginger pussycat. He is going to be used on a birthday card."
Thanks for sharing these Millie and I look forward to seeing the finished projects. The zentangling on Wallace is gorgeous and completely transforms his character.

My digital designs are available to purchase and download from my Etsy shop HERE

Percy

This afternoon I'm sharing another project by one of the Design Team...this time it's Teresa's turn and she's created a fabulous tag that's just up my street! I'm sure this will appeal to fans of the slightly quirky, off the wall style.

Teresa has teamed zingy colours and patterns with my digital image, "Percy", and then added a great sentiment which suits the character really well. I love all the fibres too! Great colouring of Percy and the white outline around him really makes him pop from the background.

You can find all the details of Teresa's project on her blog The Fat Cactus . Percy is available to buy as a download in my Etsy shop HERE.

Hope you all love Teresa's tag as much as I do and hope you're all enjoying the first day of Spring too!

Zendoodled Teddy time!

Another day and another project by one of the new Design Team, this time it's Tracey's turn. Tracey says she was already working in this when she got my email about being on the DT so she got him finished and posted him on her blog last night. Tracey's used my new "Ready to Go Zendoodled Teddy" stamp.

You can see the details about the project on Tracey's blog HERE but here are the photos...

I love that big red bow Tracey!

The One Eyed Matador

Anyone who used to come to the workshops that I taught at Topaz Crafts quite a few years ago now will possibly remember "The one eyed Matador". He was an image that I created in my Art Journal and everyone really took to him....despite him being rather creepy! I kept being asked if we could make him into a stamp but he was just a bit too left field for Personal Impressions I think! So, when I decided to start creating digital designs he was an immediate choice and I drew him as near as I could to the original.

The story behind the Matador is that in our old flat in Manchester I used to see images in the curtains when the early light shone through them. It's not that the curtains had weird patterns in them, just the way that the folds, the shadows and the light came together. Each day this particular image became clearer to me and I eventually saw the one eyed Matador!
Coming home from a demonstration many miles away I looked out of the train window and saw the huge arches of a viaduct. They immediately made me think of the Matador so I took out my journal and began to draw. By the time I got back to Manchester my page was almost complete except for some colouring....I did get a few strange glances from the lady sat next to me!

Here's the journal page...it looks a little worn down the central seam of the book now but that's due to being opened and looked at so many times which is no bad thing.

I sketched the image into my journal in pencil first and then inked up the images using a 0.05 black finelliner pen. I coloured the pages using Promarkers.

Isn't it amazing in what strange ways we can get our artistic inspiration?!

A cute card from Hazel!

I only announced the Design Team today and, already, Hazel has created a really cute thank you card using one of the images from my "Feline Fun" digital download!
You can find all the details of what Hazel used HERE

Thank you Hazel....looks great!

The new Design Team....

Hello folks, I'm pleased to announce the eight new members of my Design Team. It wasn't easy to choose the final eight as I had such a lovely response...thank you to everyone who emailed samples in to me - they were all fantastic!

Anyway, without further ado, these are the eight DT members:

Millie Moss
Sallyann Jackson

I can't wait to see what everyone creates and I'll be sharing the DT member's blogs, FB pages as we go forward.
